Fieldy transcribes while it's connected to your mobile device, which you can tell by its white LED light*. By default, the device begins recording automatically. You can easily turn the device off by long pressing the power button, and turn it back on when you need it again — it will reconnect automatically.
To pause transcription without disconnecting, just tap the pause button in the Fieldy mobile app or the "Listening" icon in the device's screen, found in the top right corner of the app. When muted, you can resume recording by pressing the play icon or by tapping the microphone icon in the device screen again. This lets you easily control when Fieldy captures audio.
*LED color may be different on older devices with firmware up to 1.0.3 A — usually, it will be blue instead of white.
